Aberlour Scotch

The Aberlour Distillery (est. 1879) lies in the village of Aberlour in the heart of Speyside—Scotland’s premier whisky-making region renowned for producing whiskies of subtle depth and elegance. Aberlour is a historical place with a story that stretches back over a thousand years. The name is a Gaelic word meaning ‘mouth of the chattering burn’ (stream). In the ancient past, a druid community lived in the valley. The druids valued oak trees and water, and believed you could hear the water spirits talking to each other. Today, water and an oak tree still feature on the Aberlour label.
